Community Learning

Our Standing Together project this year focuses on getting people from different language and cultural communities together to learn, create and discuss. This includes an ESOL conversation class, a craft class and an ESOL discussion group for young people.

Young People's English Language classes

        for Ukrainian, Afghan and           Hong Kong resettled communities

Starting in January 2026, NASSEA and Fair Futures are offering classes for young people aged 16 - 25 from resettled communities. These will include ESOL, academic English, Life in the UK, social activities and online learning. Contact us about joining here.

Young Asylum Seeker and Refugee Group

A social group with educational and mental health support, as well as a range of activities and classes.

Migration Stories North West Exhibition

 

Fair Futures' Migration Stories North West Exhibition took place at Fair Futures on 6th and 7th November. Visitors found out about the stories of people who have moved in and out of Bury and the North West over the centuries. They found out about researching histories and sharing their own story too!

A project which created multilingual, easily-understood training, information and advice on recognising, reporting and reducing Hate Crime. During Hate Crime Awareness week, we ran an anti-hate artwork competition, open to Bury schools and colleges, to increase understanding of hate crime.
